Deborah Socha

Deb originally became involved in chess through her husband Kevin and their son.  As a result of being the ultimate chess mom, Deb became involved in organizing several aspects of chess:

• Chess clubs: Including organizing parent volunteers in running the club or in assisting with specific instructional tasks.
• Chess tournaments: In particular the event-planning aspects such as concessions, prizes, skittles areas, team rooms, etc.
• Chess camps: Deb has served as the Assistant Camp Director, responsible for most of a camp's event planning and for the camp counselor staff, as well as special projects (for example, coordinating a camp slide show delivered to each participant.)
